Unlike most doubles, it has the option of steering from the front or the back. This makes it ideal for beginners to sit at the front whilst the more experienced person sits at the back and controls the ski.

The 6 metre length makes it easy to control in the ocean catching the runs and bumps. It also allows for easy storage and transportation, as most other double skis are over 7 metres in length.
